If you’re concerned about your child, a residential program can be a lifeline.

The teenage years can be difficult, which can make life at home particularly stressful for parents. Some teenage girls seem to struggle more than others, dealing with issues like trauma, addiction, or abuse. You may be feeling there is little to nothing you can do to help your child, but residential programs for troubled youth can help. At House of Hope Piedmont, we work with teenage girls between the ages of 13 and 17 who live within two hours of our facility in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area.

Our residential programs for troubled youth are different from other options in a few key ways. First, our home is Christ-centered, as we believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ can be the differentiator in success. Second, the families of our teens are highly involved throughout their stay with us. As the parent of a participant in one of our programs, you will be at the facility between one and four times per week, based on your daughter’s current phase.

Another aspect of our residential programs for troubled youth that encourages growth is our unique approach to counseling. Teens attend weekly sessions with expert clinicians for one-on-one sessions every week. They are specifically tailored to the needs of the individual. We also require attendance at group counseling sessions, which support the building of healthy relationships. Additionally, our teens attend family counseling with their parents each week, which ensures that the treatment is being provided in the context of the familial situation.
