Bob and Diana Bailey
Bob and Diana Bailey have been residents of Davie County since 2010. They first met in 1966 in Port Richey, Florida, where Bob’s father, Reverend Carl Bailey, pastored Jasmine Lakes Baptist Church. Only friends at the time, life’s circumstances moved them apart until 1992, when they were reunited. They had one date, Bob proposed, Diana said yes, and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. God does work in strange ways!
Early on in their marriage, they felt as though God wanted them to be in ministry but did not know what to do specifically until October 2009. Diana was attending an Extraordinary Women’s conference, and it was there she met Sara Trollinger, founder of the House of Hope Orlando and the National House of Hope. In January 2010 in Orlando, Florida at a House of Hope training seminar, Bob and Diana committed to opening a House of Hope in Davie County, now known as House of Hope Piedmont.
It took 7 years to find a property, and after much prayer, God led them a property in Mocksville, where they now reside.
Along with being co-founder of House of Hope Piedmont, Bob has worked at Davie High School as a custodian for 15 years. Diana works at home and takes care of their 16-year-old great niece and numerous pets. They are members of Redland Church, Advance, NC.
